You’re invited to our Fire Hall Open House! Whether you’re bringing the whole family or just curious to learn more about fire safety and the work our firefighters do, there’s something for everyone at this FREE event.

What’s Happening:

  • Bouncy Castle 
  • Craft station for kids
  • Fire extinguisher and fire hose practice areas
  • Fire truck and fire hall tours
  • Fire safety and FireSmart information
  • Meet Ember the FireSmart Fox & Sparky the Fire Dog
  • Free hotdogs and beverages

Effective at noon on Thursday, May 7, and until further notice, all open burning will be prohibited within the entire Qualicum Beach Fire Protection area.

This ban applies to open fires of any size, including campfires, beach fires, fireworks, sky lanterns, tiki torches and burning barrels. The ban does not apply to cooking stoves that use gas, propane or briquettes, or to portable campfire apparatus with a CSA or ULC rating using briquettes, liquid or gaseous fuel, that are not capable of producing a flame longer than 15 centimetres.
